Lord Eiji Kazato (a.k.a. The Beast of Osaka)
Eiji Kazato is the elder of Neo Osaka, a Buudhist monk, and a spiritual leader, as well as a veteran of The Great Grimoire War.

Eiji stays in excellent shape. Though he has vowed never to wage war again, he will fight under the right circumstances; usually in self defense.

Personal history
Born during the midst of the Great Grimoire War, Eiji was passionate, political, and patriotic to his nation. At the age of 17 he joined the Armed Forces of Japan to defend the country during the height of the war. Using his mastery over magic and his skills in combat, he gained a reputation as a "Beast" on the battlefield.
On August 7th, 2098 the Battle for Japane began, and Eiji fought on the front lines against the Witches of Archon for months on end, killing hundreds of witches on his own during that time. On January 1st, 2099, he was aboard the Airship Yamato when the daisy chain of Arcane Nuclear Warheads detonated, destroying the islands of Japan. He watched first hand as his homeland was destroyed and was forever a changed man. With Japan no longer in contention for the war, he aided in the gathering of survivors and establishing refugee camps.
He cast aside his weapons and donned the prayer beads of a monk, and began to seek spiritual enlightenment as he vowed never to wage war again. In the present day, 2169 AD, he uses healthy living and magic to remain youthful as he searches the globe for the Verge Drive in the hopes that it can help reestablish the nation of Japan for the The Japanese Colonists.

Eiji has an extensive education in Theoretical Arcane Mathematics, as well as holding a degree in Theology and is well versed in the teachings of Buudha.

Eiji began as an homage to the wisened martial artist trope seen in many Japanese and Chinese films; the elder expert that is more powerful than his age lets on. Music listened to during the development of the character was "Mirror of the World" from the Guilty Gear Strive soundtrack.
