The vampires experiment with the virility of human blood and create a horrible disease that spreads through the people like wild fire and even reaches those in other lands. The humans that survive however, spawn children with powerful blood. Blood more susceptible to experimentation and more efficient to consume.
Strange whispers from another realm make there way into the ears of a few humans, promising power to overthrow their masters. The first resistance of vampiric rule begin, one such vampire is displaced and flees in disgrace to Daborak. Being an accomplished illusionist, he takes the name Ezek Sar and changes his form to that of a descendant of a Daborakian explorer.
Ezek Sar sends a gift of thousands of human sacrifices to the Barons of Plenty to try and buy his way back to his people. He is denied, although the gift was enjoyed. Some of the surviving Zolen people were kept as amusing pets, made to fight in arenas.
Vampiric experimentation leads to another discover, the human form is malleable with all sorts of organic creatures. Rampant experimentation and cursed blood eventually leads to the creation of Lycanthropy and the first skin-walker.
Damian Wytchfire, follows the whisperings of the Witchqueen from Baba Yaga. They lead him to a place where the veil is thin and is given the knowledge he needs in an attempt to free his people from their vampiric masters.
Damian Wytchfire takes advantage of the sudden attack by the city-state of Forzakai, he besseches them to instead join him in overthrowing the vampires! They agree out of desperation and a promise of hope. Damian finishes the incantation and kills the entire population of the city-state and turns himself into the first Lich. Shamed by his hubris and consumed by his anger for the witchqueen, he retreats to the north with his now undead horde.
The Skin-walkers form a rebellion, as those that break free of the curse begin to seek to free their people.
The Skin-walkers, Damian Wytchfire and the Barons of plenty battle for the future of Dolten and the fate of the humans still in slavery.
The Skin-walkers seek the aid from the righteous of Orde, convincing them of the vampire threat and the innocents that live under their reign. The vampires learn of this meeting and instead assassinate the Ordean official.
A great battle between Orde and Dolten, at the town of Black Rivers run, a skirmish in which the true nature of the assassination is revealed and peace is made immediately.
Vampires from Dolten, attack Vakal and the sourthern half od Daborak is thrown into chaos as undead begin to spread throughout the cities.
The Skin-walkers surrender as they have taken too many losses from the attack on orde and the enforced position due to vampires invasion of Daborak.
The Witchqueen calls from another realm and powers begin to awake in a few of humanity, those with powers the vampires did not understand and could not control. Mass imprisonment and executions began as not even their blood could be salvaged.
The Barons of Plenty are attacked and defeated by a host of Daborakians!

Some humans, descendants of the Zolen people of Daborak, broke free those bound in the prisons for their magic and together they would build a place to the north. These people were the first of the Coven and the first of the Nightguard.
