Frostpines
On the south shores of the Boreal Sea, the Frostpines are a deep, dense forest.
The remoteness of the region has resulted in it becoming home to many beastfolk who still have trouble integrating with civilization, such as lycanthropes, gnolls, minotaurs, and shifters. The hidden village of [Umbra's Eye] is where many congregate, led by a charismatic rakshasa who calls himself the Red King. Several firbolg communities and druid circles also inhabit the Frostpines, but are much harder to find.

Geography
The Frostpines are a transitional forest, starting as a mix of coniferous and deciduous trees in the south and gradually becoming more coniferous towards the north. This transitions again into saltwater marsh on the northern peninsula and along some of the shore.
Natural Resources
This region is rich in timber if not much else, but all attempts at logging here tend to be met with strong resistance from the beastfolk, firbolgs, and other people who have settled in the forest.
