Amava, Maven of Misery, Mistress of the Old Magicks

Amava is among the Old Gods, a creation of The Rivening, and inherited most of her power from Nocturne, but was also placed in charge of one of the universes raw forms of energy; The Arcane. 

During the early years, Amava reigned over the Arcane itself, bathing in its endless ebbs and flows, but rarely interfering. She was the one to teach Hecate how to reach out into the flow of the Arcane. She allowed Hecate to alter said flow, at first simply seeing it as a curiosity. However, as Hecate filled the Arcane with her own influence, dormant vices crept out, drawing on Seraphina's nature handed down with her power.

As the Age of Man wore on, Amava's innate connection to death and rites led to a number of small cults forming under her name, with old cultures of sacrifices being made in her name in order to prevent plagues. These sacrifices were very rarely enough to satisfy Amava, but on those occasions that they were, she would turn her plagues back - If only for a short time.
