Juniper, The First Paladin, The Beacon of Hope

Juniper was born the second child to a humble family consisting of her loving parents and elder brother, Augus. Having been sickly since birth, Juniper was doted on by her family. Despite her kind nature, a trait she adopted from her Sylvan mother, she was fiercely independent, insisting on pulling her own weight as much as possible. Her mild stubbornness saved her from a cruel fate, as her insistence on travelling with Augus to collect the medicine she needed, left her outside her family's home when the villagers' ire reached a boiling point.

While the death of her parents left a permanent scar on Juniper, she pushed herself past the pain to try and support her brother. She followed with his plans to travel to Albion, and although reluctant, Juniper agreed to stay with the Church of the Primordial Sun. Being only 12, Juniper was tutored by the Church's Clerics. As the years passed, and tensions across The Heartlands began to rise, Juniper felt that she needed to dedicate herself to the good of the people. Having little standing in the political field, she instead opted to become a Knight under one of the noble factions.

By all regards, Juniper was a skilled combatant and duelist. However, it would be The Rise of Ignis, and the many battles that made up this war, which would put both Juniper's resolve and skills to the test. She served through many battles, gaining a name for herself as a stalwart defender, often putting herself into perilous situations if it meant saving somebody. Alas, it was her devotion to protecting the weak that lead to her end, here Juniper made a final stand while the rest of her unit was able to withdraw with the wounded.
