Elven Quarter

A major section of Olbrin's southern district, the Elven Quarter is where many elves, especially Yoru find themselves after arriving on the mainland.

Demographics

The Elven Quarter is the main residence of Olbrin's elven population with the majority those elves being Yoru who were forced from their homeland in Kyama.

Defences

While there is little the slum supplies in terms of physical protection, the community it holds creates a sort of cultural defense. While Yoru were forced to flee their northern homes and cross the sea, they are at least able to practise some of their traditions and speak openly about their heritage.

Industry & Trade

The high concentration of elves in the district has allowed for more culturally Kyamese businesses to be established. Bakeries specializing in Kyamese treats like dorayaki. Bookshops selling tomes in both Common and Kyamese.

Assets

The Quarter is cituated within close proximity to St. Anne's Church, allowing access to medical aid when needed. However, such aid is seemingly harder to come by for most elves in recent years.   The closeness to the city's outermost wall has allowed Yoru immigrants to exercise some of their hunting traditions on the local wild game.

Guilds and Factions

Both Yoru and Taijin (the primary ethnicity of Kyama) make the Elven Quarter their home. Following the events of the Hokubu March, tensions run deep between the two groups. Violence has thankfully been kept to a minimum, but members of one culture are still careful about walking too deeply into the other's section of the slum.

Tourism

Being mutli-cultural center, the Quarter draws attention from those that seek some exposure to Kyama. While the elven attitude towards this attention varies, most business owners are appreciative as it allows for greater exposure of their wares.
