The Widow's War was the largest scale conflict between the three kingdoms in their entire history. It was said to have been provoked by Syllane, who had been gathering resources and building her armies in the north for decades.

It was said to have been provoked by Syllane, who had been gathering resources and building her armies in the north for decades.   Syllane began with the goal of claiming the Isle of Unity as her own. The Fellowship of the Dragon's Embrace opposed this, insisting that they had always been dedicated to neutrality and peace among the kingdoms. Their mastery of draconic power made them fierce opponents, allowing them to hold out long enough for Jasith and Avin to come to their defense.    Later in the war, a pair of green dragons assaulted Sheylantiir. Their origins are still unknown. It was as a result of the Widow's War that all kingdoms began to crack down on the presence of Wyrmlings in Exol, killing them where they were found.
