Kenku
Kenku are typically found in Gradfa.
- Ability Score Increase. Increase one score by 2 and increase a different score by 1, or increase three different scores by 1.
- Size. Small or Medium. You choose the size when you select this race.
- Speed. 30 ft.
- Creature Type. You are a Humanoid.
- Age. Kenkus reach adulthood at age 3 and live up to 60 years.
- Dragonmark. You have a Dragonmark of your choice.
- Expert Duplication. When you copy writing or craftwork produced by yourself or someone else, you have advantage on any ability checks you make to produce an exact duplicate.
- Kenku Recall. Thanks to your supernaturally good memory, you have proficiency in two skills of your choice. Moreover, when you make an ability check using any skill in which you have proficiency, you can give yourself advantage on the check before rolling the d20. You can give yourself advantage in this way a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
- Mimicry. You can accurately mimic sounds you have heard, including voices. A creature that hears the sounds you make can tell they are imitations only with a successful Wisdom (Insight) check against a DC of 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier.
- Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common.
Ancient Aarakocra were created by magic mutating birds into monsters, but the Goddess Beory gave them wisdom and the intelligence to speak. A group of ancient Aarakocra angered the Goddess Beory shortly after this causing them to be cursed. Their wings fell off and all their descendants were born without wings, they later become known as Kenku. This curse has become known as the Curse of Beory or the Curse of Nature. The average clutch for Kenku is one to three eggs laid. The eggs are laid one at a time one day apart. They hatch in the order they were laid. Around six months an Kenku can walk and talk. At three years old the reach adulthood and are given a special celebration, this is the only birthday they celebrate. At three they are giving the choice to stay in their hometown or travel the world. Female Kenku from age three to ten they can lay eggs. Kenku can lay an egg two to three days after being fertilized. it then takes about a month for the egg to hatch. Around age ten age start to show, Kenku feathers will turn grey or white.
