For thousands the book "Lost Horizon" by James Hilton is a fanciful tale of fiction about Shangri-la. Unbenownst even to the hotel magnate, the story is real.
For, he did indeed stumble across the lost valley of the Ohibi, but chose to have his mind wiped by The Phalanx member Amnesia rather that be forced to stay in the valley.
Mr. Hiltons will was strong however, and some memories bubbled to the surface. For him it was just a fevered dream which he wrote as his masterpiece (never knowing the truth of it).
Home to Ohibi People who have faithfully served Nimune and the Phalanx, for over a thousand years.

Geography

The valley is isolated and almost impossible to get to without the help of experience guides (from the Karzdun or Ohibi people).

Ecosystem

An artificially created paradise, which can fulfill all the needs of its inhabitants.

Localized Phenomena

The valley is covered in mystic illusions to keep secret from the rest of the world.
Until recently the weather around the valley was also controlled by the Phalanx member known as Kaeyla. With her disappearance the unnaturally warm weather of the valley maintains but their is no control over neighbouring regions.

Fauna & Flora

The inhabitants of the valley grow pharmaceuticals which can drastically increase ones lifespan (hundreds of years).

Natural Resources

The cavern system underneath the valley is source of a diamond mind, which provides much of the valleys wealth.
