Kaz-Voradhur (vor-uh-DOOR)
Structure
The draconic empire of Kazha has been ruled by a long line of varyingly long-lived dictatorial dragons, each one claiming a different title and inserting their name into that of the nation. The main mode of deposition in Kazha has, historically, been either assassination or open battles to the death, very few changes in leadership come peacefully and without bloodshed.
Culture
There are two layers of culture within Kaz-Voradhur: one on which the high-and-mighty dragons operate, and one on which their humanoid subjects operate. The dragons live long, lush lives of opulence and consumption in between violent conflicts with each other; while the humanoids of Kazha build their strong community and create and share with each other in between the back breaking labor demanded of them by the draconic leadership. Some eras of rule blur the lines more than others, making more of a "middle class" where the lower ranking dragons and higher ranking humanoids are closer in station, but largely that gap is noticeably wide. Kaz-Voradhur has been one of the darker eras in Kazic history, though the unity among the lower class is stronger than ever.
History
The nation of Kazha predates the Shatter, and has always been ruled by powerful dragons-- each era of rule renaming the nation for its leader. Though it is a long-lived nation and several of its tyrants have had ambitions of world domination, it's never been larger or further-reaching than it is in the present day, always relatively insular, as immigrating to a nation ruled by giant lizards that almost always aim to keep its humanoid population impoverished is a hard sell, and fleeing the nation takes resources that much of the population lacks.
Religion
The official religious views of Kazha are always one of the two draconic gods, depending on the ruler in question-- either Bahamut or Tiamat, and not always with the divide we'd expect. Wizard-King Voradhur is an ardent devotee of Bahamut.

At war
The Faertaeni have been holding their own, defending their territory from Kaz-Voradhur on the largest fragment the two nations share since the Shatter. This war starts and stops occasionally, the long lifespans of dragons and elves alike leading to centuries-long treaties only to be broken by equally long periods of cold and active war.
