Who are the Gods?

The 9 gods of feline kind are a pantheon of cat deities who watch and guide the Jynx cats in their lives across the mortal realms. With each one symbolizing a unique aspect of life which help to teach their followers how they might live their lives. Many if not all Jynx believe in the existence of the gods and pray to them accordingly through common prayers, rituals and presenting blessings to the shrines located all over the Fairy Realm.

Ailuros the Bobcat Goddess of Charm
Her perfect silver fur she is the representation of persuasion and seduction.
Bastet the Panther Goddess of Stealth.
With her starry eyes to see in the darkest of times.
Lynceus the Lynx God of Truth.
With a crown and halo, they serve to lead cats to justice.

Mafdet the Cheetah God of Speed
Their glowing eyes and electric energy he is the manifestation of agility, haste and instincts.
Nemean the Lion God of Strength
With a fiery mane, he is the king of gods.
Pard the Leopard God of Illusions.
With shifting spots that repesent the constant change of perspective.

Smilodon the Saber-cat God of Time
The father of the gods and guardian of time and space.
Viracocha the Cougar God of Intelligence
With wings that help him soar into the sky he spreads his wisdom across the land and skies.
Waghoba the Tiger Goddess of Protection
With golden stripes leading cats to safety.

The Land of Immortals

It is unclear where exactly the gods reside, but many Jynx believe them to be in a higher plane of existence. One which transcends life and death, allowing them to keep a watchful eye over cat-kind in all realms.
The gods are said to be responsible for the Jynx's ability to reincarnate and retain memories of past lives, a gift that is unique to them and them alone. During the process of reincarnation the mind and spirit of Jynx leave their mortal bodies and enter the land of the immortals, allowing them to partake in 'The trail of Rebirth'. A spiritual journey which takes the Jynx from one live to another. Guided by the gods, the trail questions them in order to put them on the most appropiate path.
Whilst inside the land of immortals, the gods of the feline kind are near omnipotent. Capable of anything possibly imagined except for killing one another and other gods such as other godly beings of the Fairy Realm. Myths and legends depict the gods leaving their protected home and walking the motal plane, choosing avatars to host their minds and power for a limited time. It is these visits that allow the gods to directly intercept the lives of their followers, usually presenting themselves to those most lost.
