Jynx Cat

Jynx cats are not of this realm. They are a small species of talking cats with the intelligence of an Alum and the magical abilities of a Sorcerer originating from the Fairy Realm where they are a common sight. With a magical connection to the afterlife allowing them to regenerate, Jynx have 9 chances at life before finally passing on from the mortal plane.

While Jynx appear with a variety of fur patterns and markings, they all have an average height of 3ft. Prefer to walk around on two feet and wear clothes just like an other intelligent species. With long tails, rounded tipped ears and bright colourful eyes, Jynx stand out in both their native realm and other worlds they explore.

Way of Life:

Inside the Fairy realm, the Jynx cat live a nomadic life. Choosing to roam in tribes across the lands in whatever direction they feel is appropiate at any given moment. With their travels taking them from the cities of elves to other worlds. The only known stationary location is the city of Nepeta. An ancient overgrown tree that stretches from the clouds in the sky, deep into the forest ground below. Overtime, the Jynx have built and added boxy buildings and structures to create a sight unlike any other. Many cat-kind choose to visit the city on a regular basis and is a hub for all things feline.
Most, if not all, Jynx believe in the nine gods of feline kind. A pantheon of cats that created the stars, planets and even their ancestors. Blessing them with the powers of reincarnation and gifting them the ability to learn the ways of magic. Once their time has come in this current life, their minds are taken to the 'Trail of Rebirth'. A place where a Jynx mst journey alone to appreciate what they have accomplished and find their new way of life. Once the journey is complete they return to the mortal plane, often with a changed appearance. Retaining the memories of their past lives and having the chance to start anew.

Abilities:

Claws - With their natural claws, Jynx are able to deal 1d6 melee damage when attacking without a weapon.
Puss in Boots - With their cat senses, Jynx are always able to land on their feet. Characters take half damage when falling from a height.
Regeneration/Reincarnation - When a Jynx reaches 0HP, they enter the 'Trial of Rebirth'. Once completed, they return to the mortal realm with a new life with the potential to change appearance. The character is reset to level 1 but contains the memories of the previous incarnation. Jynx have nine lives before they finally experience death.
