Oogla

A strange and unusual little creature, Oogla are small furry creatures that wander carefree across the lands of Ascor. Often singing charming little songs with magical capabilities. These critters have become adored by the people of Ascor, often domesticated and kept as pets by families throughout the kingdoms.

Appearance:

Even within the realm of magic, these small animals look rather unique compared to other wildlife. Idly walking about on two stumpy legs and looking gazing aimlessly at its surroundings, easily distracted by rocks, flowers and sparkbugs. With short fur covering their bodies apart from mouth, which is formed from two blunt rounded pincers with a texture of an acorn. Sitting on top of their heads are a pair of long, striped antenna that they can control to become limp or rigid on command. The sleepy eyes and small round bodies make many scholars believe they share a common ancestry to Dikkerdaks and the recently discovered Jynx Cat race.

Melodic Sounds and Charming Abilities:

Chirp - It sings its heart out, letting out a delightful tune as it does so. The chirping causes anyone within range to be charmed, unable to attack the Oogla on the next turn.   Headbutt - In an attempt to push the target back, it uses its head (quite literally) to knock back a target. 1d4 melee damage, chance to stun on a critical roll.   Whip - It spins it head round and round, letting its antenna turn limp and flail around wildly. 1d4 melee damage, chance to cause bleeding on a critical roll.   Psychic Resistance - This animal is unaffected by psychic based magic. Possibly due to its hypnotic singing, possibly due to its lack of awareness of its surroundings.

Won over Hearts:

Character Prompt: You have travelled over the seas in search for a new life, away from family drama and the rumours of an upcoming war. But you would never travel alone, so you have brought your pet Oogla along for the ride. You share a bond that is unmatched, its as though you can tell what each other are thinking at the time. But its wandering trait ends up getting you into more trouble than you bargain for.
The domestication of Oogla dates back to the age of Exploration, after the war of Kingdoms between Eyaton & Maraleye. Explorers were looking for new land to build settlements when they discovered a herd of Oogla playing in the fields. Immediately the explorers became infatuated with the creatures and brought them home. They have become a common pet in the homes of many throughout Ascor ever since.
