Shivering Impact of K'Tak

A powerful artefact from Drovvin's past, symbolizing the resilience of its hard workers and the power that lies deep inside the mountain the city rests on. The shivering impact of K'Tak is a pick mattock that has been infused with various magical matierals to be a powerful tool and weapon. Allowing the wielder to break the hardest of stone or enemy with a single swing.

I've never for me own eyes, but from what I've heard its a masterpiece. The unique cracking pattern on the tip of the pick, to the crystal keeping it strong enough to not break under its own power. Even the handle had been carved and polished by the greatest carpenter at the time. If I ever got to see it, it'd be the best day of me life. Besides me wedding of course...

Origins:

The history of this artefact have been well documented and common knowledge to many in Drovvin. A story told from father to son, mother to daughter for the past three generations.
It begins with a Stone Alum named K'Tak, a miner working for the Royal Family over two hundred years ago. He was the last one working that day, chipping away at rocks when he tapped into something unexpected. A nearly pure white edge with fine glow of purple. He struck once more and in the blink an eye the tunnel began to quiver. For K'Tak had broke into the core of aura stone. The impact of his pick end had caused a small explosion of raw magical energy that began a cave in. All he could do was try and run. But he was not fast enough and sadly perished.
Others heard the tunnel collapsing and came to his aid. After days of digging through rubble. They found K'Tak buried and long gone. But they also found the head of the mattock, glowing with a rather unique pattern. The miners brought it immediately to the royal blacksmith who inspected the tool in detail. What they found, was a tool that had the liquid core of aura stone frozen and infused into the metal. Giving the mattock a new feat of strength. The blacksmith worked with various other craftsmen to restore the tool and present it as a gift to the Royal Family of Drovvin. In honour of the miner, they named the weapon, The Shivering Impact of K'Tak.
The Controversy

The weapon is still in possession of the Royal Family of Drovvin to this very day. While the majority of people do not care about this, the descendants of K'Tak are not pleased. Believing they have the right to own the mattock. Pleading with the Royal Family for years, they are starting to get fed up of asking through lawful means...

Appearance & Abilities:

The pick mattock has a metallic head made of Crylun Steel. At the tip of the pointed pick, is frozen aura formed in a splash pattern, shimmering white and purple. The handle is made of ashwood, carved by hand and strengthened by a polished kyanite gemstone that connects the metallic head and handle together.
When the weapon is used, kinetic energy builds up from the swing and unleashes a powerful magic blast on impact. Triple the strength of a normal pick. When the weapon makes contact with a natural material, such as stone, it has a chance to flash nearly perfect white. Blinding anyone looking at the mattock at the time, including the wielder. It is suggested that eye protection is worn by anyone who intends to wield the Shivering Impact.
