Most elves have left Viridian, but their footprints can be found dotted over the landscape as fragmented ruins of castles and forgotten cities. Still there are some elves left. The humans mostly view the elves as frivolous and vain. They don't comprehend why the elves extricate themselves from geopolitics. The humans treat the half-elves as second class citizens out of disdain for their elvish blood and jealousy of their long lives.

Elves of the island of Ereb Mindon

In the Lonely Tower, or Ereb Mindon, there are a few hundred high elves under the command of Lord Aelen Galandriel. They more closely resemble the elves of old – majestic, magical, and ephemeral. From time to time these elves are seen roaming the lands of Viridian. It is unclear why Lord Aelen remains on the island and has not left like the other high elves. Some speculate Aelen is interesting in uncovering ancient artifacts of civilizations past on Viridian.

Elves of the forest of Ureb Gladocuil

The elves occupying the forest Ureb Gladocuil are wood elves that have been waging a recent guerilla war against the Barron Dreyvus, who is slowly cutting down the forest to create more farmland for his province and gather resources for his industrial endeavors. These elves are particularly attuned to nature. At the center of Ureb Gladocuil lies the ancient and giant tree Cuilbesoneth, or life giver, and it is believed this tree has major significance for these elves. Deep in the forest, the elves of Ureb Gladocuil inhabit a thriving city that few outsiders have seen.

The Half-Elves of Viridian

The half elves live among humans in city slums or working as farm hands. They are generally treated as second class citizens among the humans. They are undesired by their elven counterparts.
