Cleansing Light
The Cleansing Light is a blast of ionizing radiation. Named for its lethality, it cleanses the area of life — or at least of organic life. Only the Entropists, and in particular the eponymous Order of the Cleansing Light, wield it as a weapon.
Greater Cleansing Light
Few have wielded the Greater Cleansing Light and survived with their body intact, and none were made of flesh and bone.The Greater Cleansing Light is a blast of X-rays and gamma radiation, emitting a strong blue glow in the visible light spectrum from Cherenkov radiation. Due to the intensity of the blast, it causes death almost immediately or by radiation poisoning within a day to a few weeks. Anybeing far enough from the blast or behind cover might survive, but is likely to suffer long-term effects. Heavy radiation shielding is not feasible while casting the Cleansing Light, nor would it fit the Entropist mindset. The wielder inevitably receives a massive dose, enough to cause lethal damage even to a radiation-hardened lifeform. Lesser Cleansing Light
The Lesser Cleansing Light excels at killing revenants. 'Tis also a mirific disinfectant.The Lesser Cleansing Light is a blinding flash of short-wave ultraviolet radiation. It appears as a light blue glow in the visible light spectrum. Since it's ionizing radiation, it can cause severe, and potentially permanent, harm to any organic lifeforms it doesn't outright kill. Aside from serving as the equivalent of a powerful — and painful — flash grenade, it disrupts what tenuous hold on life revenants have, taking advantage of a failsafe that destroys their neural control interfaces.Purgatore, Witherlight Alliance
