Rosewood Estate

"The Rosewood estate is where I call home. I was born and raised in that house studying to be a noble heir, playing with my cards and toys, or sitting in on my dad’s business and trade deals with The Slayers. The estate is a large mansion with an attached garden. We employ as many staff to keep the estate running including a man who is my best friend and my butler, Frederick. Frederick and I continue to be inseparable and I am glad my father was able to give him a better life in the Estate. Beginning of the estate is a large cast iron gate that reaches 20ft high and 60ft long with my family's coat of arms in the middle of the gate. In front of the gate we have 4 bushes each finely trimmed to be in the shape of each of the four suits of a deck of cards: spades, clubs, hearts, and diamonds. The mansion itself is made of fine wood in a rose hue. There are 3 floors and an annex of the mansion. When you enter the large double doors you will find yourself in the great hall, a large open room with a chandelier made of diamonds hanging down about 200ft above your head. Lining the great hall are paintings of all of my Rosewood ancestors, elves with some dragonborn in the family. You will see the grand staircase leading to the upstairs with a spade on both sides of the stairway that you can grab to walk up the stairs. Behind the stairway you will find the dining room with a long oak table about 25ft long. Above the table you can see our family’s coat of arms and lining the walls are suits of armor 52 in total. Each set of armor has a different playing card etched into the chest plate and shield. My father does all his trade deals at this table. Then going through another set of double doors you open into the Grand Ballroom so we usually use both the ballroom and the dining room for our large masquerades as our guests are greeted by my mother in the great hall. The Ballroom is a large dance floor with a stage for our house bard and band, The Flush. You can see the gardens from inside the Ballroom of fine flower beds and bushes. In the center of the garden is a white gazebo surrounded by 3 bushes each trimmed to look like the current Rosewoods in the house. Those being myself, my father, and my mother. My father makes sure the garden is kept neat and clean since it is his pride and joy. My father has inherited from his father a magic staff known in the family as our Ace in the hole. It has been passed down through the family whenever the eldest Rosewood comes of age (which is decided by the current owner, usually the eldest male when their eldest son is ready) the previous owner of the staff will pass it down to them during a coming of age party. I hope my father trusts me to host my Coming of Age ceremony and ball." - Gustave Rosewood
