Erythraean Empire

The Erythraean Empire was a continent-spanning empire which ruled from 507 TE to 745 TE. It was run by a ruling class of vampires, headed by the Bloodless Emperor, and they subjugated nearly all of Vorago to extract blood and other living resources for over 200 years.
The empire was ended in 745 when a sudden mind flayer invasion killed the Emperor and took control of the Bloodless Citadel. The mortals of Vorago almost unanimously rose up to throw off their shackles during the chaos: the death of the Emperor instantly killed all of his "children" with his strain of Vampirism.
