O.M.E.F

O.M.E.F stands for "Oridit Mregura Enlit Fysi's" The United Mregian Armed Forces. It is the combination of Navy, Army, and Air forces under the command of the Mregian Empire.

Structure

The organisational structure of OMEF is needlessly complicated yet simplistic. Mregia is a feudal empire, with many lords, but they all pledge their allegiance to the current Monarch. Each Lord or Royal lord has the right to raise an army, conquer lands, and defend those lands from other lords, or foreign invasion. OMEF was established as a slightly more organised and connected military than lords just going about doing mostly whatever they liked with their armies.   Each lords army can consist of, Air, land, or sea forces, but most lords tend to specialise. It's more expensive to run a fleet while also running a whole army and air forces. The house that each lord belongs to usually decides what they specialise in. A Kiggran lord is usually one of the sea. Whilst a Pofgytian lord prefers air superiority.   Each lord then has a Kirihes, who makes sure his forces do as instructed. The lord can let his Kirihes take charge of his forces when the Empire is not at war, all lords are required to actively take part in a war using their personal forces.   The various lords, and their armies, that make up O.M.E.F need to communicate and work together to ensure victory, especially in the modern age. All are required to attend a war council if summoned, so as to achieve full co-operation and consistency.

Public Agenda

To defend the Empire and it's allies. To conquer any, and all enemies of the Emperor/Empress.

Assets

A variety of armies, each having different fighting styles and tactics dictated by their origin and commander. Various vehicles, including Airships, tanks, walking mechs (shells), Submarines, naval boats, and drones.
Since O.M.E.F has so many different people in charge, there are procedures and traditions in place to deal with any in-fighting that can occur. For example:   During a war, 3 lords and their armies might be occupying the same front, or attacking/defending the same objective. Someone has to be in charge of the whole operation so that everyone can properly follow a single plan. In a situation like this, the first lord to get to the objective becomes responsible for that theater, unless the Monarch has appointed someone else to take charge. A lord can challenge another lord for control of the theater, but will be heavily disciplined if they fail to complete the objective, or fail in their new duties, assuming they win the duel.
  • Duels are done using swords only. You must get permission from the Monarch first. To win you must draw blood from your opponent, or cause them to surrender. ----
  • When it comes to defending land, each lord is responsible for whatever land he/she has conquered in their time. An entire valley, owned a lord, might come under attack. He should always keep his lands secure if possible, so it shouldn't be an issue unless the attacking force is overwhelming. If so, he can ask for help from a fellow lord in a neighbouring territory, but their forces may already be on their way to assist, without needing to be told.   Lords have no authority to command another lords forces. Tradtionally they could duel, and the winner would gain authority over the others' forces, but after O.M.E.F was created you need permission from the Monarch in order to initiate any duel.
