A brief history of Vyra by Nalle Huxely
The book claims to be a complete history of Vyra, the self proclaimed first kingdom. The part Zed would be most concerned with is nearer the end. Here is the sparknotes version.
The book recounts, somewhat vaguely, the contrution of the city under Cravyre the hero (This was over 2400 years ago. The accuracy is uncertain). It mourns his death for a good chapter or two, recounting how great he was, how the silver queen left the castle in sorrow and all the land wept bla bla bla etc. The mourning leads into some meandering complaints about how Cravyre should have ascended to godhood but didn't. Zed would likely skim through this.
Next, it briefly recounts the first destruction of the city during the battle in which Cravyre returned to rally the survivors and Andichar was banished.
There are a few pages dedicated to King Turfall the Glutton who was king of Vyra when Celeb was rebuilt the first time. They arent very interesting.
In the year 1104 ADC Celeb was destroyed again when Vyra was hard pressed by the kingdom of Alin. The Vyran capital moved north to Cheer.
There are several pages mentioning the loss of Doran to Thur (The dwarf kingdom), the first sky elf raids, and the fall of Alin to its own greed.
There is mention of a plague caused by the Coven.
The majority of the book is concerned with the last eight hundrerd years. Celeb was rebuilt for the final time in 1604 under the reign of Cravyre the returned.
There are several now defunct factions of the old Vyran empire that are mentioned. While there were still some disagreements among the powers that were, Cravyre the returned managed to use his legacy to unite a large enough portion of the general population and army to bring the kingdom back from the brink of collapse, reclaim the old capital and reform the system. The Temple of the Child was also rebuilt in the center of the city, protected from all harm.
Only a few years later, Cravyre the Returned vanished from the history books once more, leaving the kingdom in the hands of Queen Lyra Starcaller. During her reign, Vyra pushed on and expanded into the borders of June. This continued into the reign of King Lundel II. June was dominant on the ocean, but invested too many resources into exploration of lands too distant to lend adequate military aid in time.
The next four hundred years were filled with sporadic conflict with June and Thur.
There is an account of another King being killed by bandits when returnning from a victorous campaign against his foes.
In the year 2251, Vyra finally conquered June, claiming all that remained of that kingdom, including its Caiptal of Port. They toppled the statue of the god Busni, formerly the god of trade, whilst marching victoriously through Port. According to the author, Many thought that this brought bad luck home to Celeb. The author however maintains that Busni had already fallen from power centuries before and this was symbolic of his reduced status. Regardless, a celebration of Busni was scheduled to take place in Celeb towards the end of that year, but was cancelled due to unrelated civil unrest.
The City of Celeb had been growing overcrowded with displaced citizens throughout this time. There were several protests as many in the outer areas felt unprotected from bandits and beasts and monsters.
The sky elves are mentioned again, mostly in relation to trade agreements, though some seemed to be attempting to claim Port for themselves.
The already exhausted Vyran army began to be hard pressed by the Auroliryn advance from the south. The dark elves laid claim to Fallenahunt (also known as the darkwood) and all the land south of the river.
Meanwhile, bandits were wreaking havoc in the north.
Despite Vyra being hard pressed on many fronts, they experienced a string of victories in 2292 after recruiting a large number of mercenaries to boost their numbers. They pushed the dark elves back to the mountains, and reclaimed the occupied city of Apelyn. This coincided with a sudden drop in the number of bandit related crimes further north. With the aid of Thur, Port was also secured under the local lordship of Uri Dewstalker.
The outer wall of Celeb was finished in the year 2294.
Vyra and Thur formed the Borean alliance, officially uniting in the defense of the north. Several other independent cities joined soon after.
Auroliryn decreased its pressure on the southern border.

In the year 2298, the ambassador from Auroliryn came north and demanded the return of two dark elf orphans who had been taken in by the Order of the child following the recapture of Apelyn. As one of these was already an acolyte, this caused some issues. There were no laws written regarding this.
The Auroliryn ambassador threatened to resume hostilities and then went to remove his kin from the Temple by stealth and by force. According to the author, this move is seen universally as rash.
There is a rather unclear eyewitness account of the Day of Unwaking that claims that a shriek pirced through the fog beneath the Temple. Dreams and Nightmares walked the city. It is theorized that the child, unwilling to relinqush his acolyte, walked the streets in her guise, sewing madness. The deaths of several nobles are listed.
Thirteen acolytes descended beneath the temple and a great fog envelopped the city. When the winds blew it away, the chaos was gone. The thirteen acolytes were honoured with a monument in the gardens which was torn down within the year at the request of the Temple of The Child. The two orphans returned with the ambassador to Auroliryn and are not mentioned again.

The book goes on to ramble for a time on the kings, lauding King Vyrrilvenn in what seems to be a section written by a different author.
It mentions the official treaties and trade agreements with the Notuan alliance (that the author postulates was formed in response to the Borean alliance) as well as both the sky elves and the dark elves.
There is an account of several important figures hired by Vyrrilvenn more recently. Of note to Zed would be the Judge (Elmon Kats), who was a member of the Company of the Bright Flame, come north after the incident at the graveyard, as well as Sir Finn the Green, knighted for his efforts to secure signing of the treaties.
