Gore's Target

Gore the Barbarian came to Vyaelian hunting a thieving murderer and the stolen cloak of Lun which he believed to be in said murderer's possession.

Hunting Him to Vyaelian

• In Perch, while dealing with the earthquakes, the party heard tell of a stranger arrived in town, travelled into the mountains, and returned, angry. Upon first arriving, he seemed to not know where he was or what the year was.
• Kerrigs and Andira indicated that they had initially found him in their store room, about two weeks prior.

Almost Caught him in Celeb

• While in Celeb for the festival, Gore spotted the man in question and gave chase. The city guards were alerted and both Gore and his target were arrested. Unfortunately, the murderer killed several guards and escaped. The city responded by issuing a bounty.

Insight From a Dream

• While returning from Reveer, having partaken in the wine gifted to the party by their dinner guest, Rayne,  Gore got wind that his target had somehow made it to New Port.

Tracking Him to New Port

• The party heard from Zilvart, after refreshing his memory with a bit of gold, that both the murderer and another pair of bounty hunter had passed through. However, neither the target nor the other bounty hunter have been seen in Ol' Zilvart's's for several days.
• A shopkeeper reported the man in question had bought a crowbar and headed west.
• One of the farmers had seen him heading back towards the wall.

• While investigating the sewers in New Port, the party encountered the murderer and successfully captured him.
• Another mercenary was saved by the party in the sewers of New Port. He was brought back to the ship for a chance to recover although his partner had perished already.
• The murderer seemed thoroughly crazy. He had, in his possession, a cursed amulet and a book of songs by Gervais the bard. He was muttering a passage from it, (even later, when speak was dead was cast on him).
• The rescued mercenary had given them a token should they ever require the services of him or his company.
• After returning to the ship, the party found that Merc was gone, and the murderer had been executed.
• The murderer had apparently sold the cloak of Lun prior to his arrival in New Port.
