General Summary
No Tholki don't go in the forest, there's roots in there
Another Attempt
- Beerum attempted to misty step into the dome with the sapling and was transported to a dark and twisted forest. Thanks to his navigation hand, he quickly found his way to another portal that returned him to the forest he had been in before. However, his eyes were now bright green. Shadows were also spreading from the sapling.
- The surviving party found a woman behind a bush calling for help. She said her name was Lisa Stonewright, though her memory seemed foggy. A feather dropped from her hair.
Back
- Back at the caravan, repairs were underway. Kakea wanted to head out immediately but there were disagreements slowing things down.
- Kakea was confused who had died when Beerum said they had lost one of their number, as Eliza had returned before them.
- Eliza seemed to in fact be there, though she had clearly lost some of her memory. Also, she understood Tholki's flumph grammar. Beerum tried to rush in and hug Eliza, who did not recognize him.
The Thief
- The party went to speak with a dwarven woman named Brouzi and a man named Michael whom she was accusing of robbing her. (Her coin purse of 250gp was missing)
- Eliza tried to trace the scent of the man's cloak, which had also gone missing. She followed it to a wagon, where the scent vanished.
- Braa investigated inside the wagon and found two large boxes stacked against that side, and no trace of any stolen items.
- Eliza investigated the boxes, as a spider, and found one was full of dirt, and the other had a suit of armour with something inside.
- Beerum tried to see if the culprit had teleported somewhere nearby, but found no suitable perches.
- The wolf said that he had smelled death after growling at seemingly nothing
- "Penelope" tried to make a fire
- Tholki had his unseen servant dig a hole to see if the culprit went down. At one point, the shovel started to float away. Tholki retrieved it. His flask went missing.
- It started to rain heavily.
- The caravan chose to accept the delay and camp for the night. Over the night, one of "Penelope"'s daggers and Braa's lute went missing.
- In the morning, it was still pouring.
- The party decided to set a trap for the thief. Tholki went in his bottle and waited for it to be stolen, while some party members watched.
- The thief seemed to be a ghost, clad in stolen gear.
