The Alloyed

The Alloyed are the oligarchy that rule Thast Mondavrik - City. There are six members of the Alloyed, one for each of the castes of Thast Mondavrik (see Castes and Clans of Thast Mondavrik). They are said to be golems created out of their caste's identifying metal and contain the souls of the original rulers of Thast Mondavrik from back during The Unwritten Age. Whether or not this is entirely true and not just dwarves wearing armor is a matter for debate outside of Thast Mondavrik, however inside the city it is illegal to question their legitimacy. Each of the Alloyed leads their own caste with pure determination and get the final say on any matters that concern them. During times of war however, when the Military Caste is created, whichever caste has volunteered the most amount of soldiers gains control of the Military Caste and that caste's Alloyed leader becomes the leader of all of the Alloyed for the duration of the conflict.
