The School of Blood Magic

The School of Blood Magic is an often scorned form of arcane magic that involves accessing The Crimson Ley Line through rigorous magical study. Many have gained access to the ley line throughout the ages and it is often so difficult that it is nearly impossible to learn blood magic without being taught it from someone else who has already learned it. Those who are able to harness blood magic and use it for evil are criminalized and hunted down while even those who try to use it for good are still often looked down on for their macabre form of magic. The Bleeding Hearts also consider this school of magic as blasphemy against Hemarra - Sanguine Queen / Scarlet Martyr as it involves accessing her ley line without her giving them access. For these reasons, practitioners of blood magic often keep their affiliation with the school a secret.
