Grand Arch Vampyr
The current and only known Grand Arch Vampyr is Garrick Thornwood. Although he was considered to be in equal partnership for this position with his late wife Serafina Thornwood who met her unexpected demise during the Blood Wrath Moon in 2004. He is thought to be over 2000 years old, maybe even far older than that. So he and Serafina are thought to be the parents of the Vampyr race. Legend has it that he is actually the estranged son of the Creator, who was left to suffer an 'immortal' existence and fend for himself in the material world after he fell from grace. He is also the patriarch of The Thornwood Dynasty. Meeting all these conditions means that no-one questions his position as Grand Arch Vampyr, and therefore bestows him with great power and influence.

Accoutrements & Equipment
He wears a ring that is moulded in the shape of a continuous symbol. Nobody apart from his family knows what this symbol is and its importance. Could it be the secret to his origins? Could it be the 'möbius' loop, the symbol of infinity?

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Dismissal/removal from this position would only happen if he killed another pure-blood or true-blood vampyr, those he is sworn to protect. Although, he may step down since the death of his wife and allow his son Ed, to take over. This would have a huge impact on all of Vyrvania.
