Sage's Guide to the Oracle Archives

This guide is essentially a table of contents for the genres of exploration within the most esteemed sagecraft collection in the Vyscarian Empire. The archives are restricted to students of the University and Citadel, unless otherwise stated.

Floor Level

This level is divided into 10 divisions of knowledge.

Division #1: Vyscarian History: Politics

This division covers the entire unredacted, declassified history of Vyscarian politics, diplomacy, treaties, expansion, the roles of political bodies, and how they have evolved over the 900-year lifespan of this conglomerate empire. This is the largest compilation of political knowledge you can read, including the records of noble houses, Lordships, province governance, and the public record or key figures of power.

Division #2: Vyscarian History: Land Use & Natural Lore

This division covers the entire unredacted, declassified history of Vyscarian land use planning, policy, and the expansion of the empire. Within this division, one can also find all known lore about the history of lands and their denizens that the boundaries of Vyscaria contain.
 

Division #3: Runfelic Anthropology

This division analyzes and reviews the known cultures across the continent of Runfel to the highest extent, with maps, depictions, etc.
 

Division #4: Vyscarian Archaeology

This division covers all known lost or past civilizations that have ever dwelt in the lands of the modern-day Vyscarian Empire to the best degree of record. This division is constantly evolving every decade with new discoveries coming forth. One can learn of items, cultures, relics, and geography of kingdoms and civilizations long before, or those who have fallen in Vyscaria's lifetime.
 

Division #5: Transcontinental Trade

This division provides records of trade history that have taken place in Vyscaria throughout the history of the empire, as well as current transcontinental trade partners and organizations from other kingdoms. Within this is also an in-depth look at the economy of the empire and its various opportunities and careers, trading conduct, etiquette, regulations, and laws.
 

Division #6: Known Realms of Existence

This division covers the expansive publications on the planes of existence and what the empire knows about them, scientific discussions about their existence and influence, as well as a rare collection of accounts of planar travel.
 

Division #7: General Geography

This division contains all the maps and travel guides of every route, passage, city, town, village, and landscape possible within the Vyscarian Empire.
 

Division #8: The Arcane Weave

This division contains all general findings, explorations, and ponderings of the weave that allows the use of magic, how it works, the nature of the weave, and its limitations.
 

Division #9: Vyscarian Philosophy

This division contains an introspective look, analysis, and an in-depth review of Vyscarian culture, society, social norms, morality & ethics, critical theories, the nature of man, and the world.
 

Division #10: Training Guides

This division provides in-depth training guides, tutorials, and references to tool proficiencies, their socioeconomic demands, their functional capabilities, and hired instructors and workshops available.
 

Study Sections

This is not a division of knowledge one the floor level, but they are designated places of study for students and sages alike.

 

Balcony

This floor contains sectioned-off and restricted sections along with the atlas cloud. It has 4 divisions:

Atlas Cloud (restricted to Upper Division & Esteemed Guests)

This portion dwells on a glass floor with brass supports in a central section, clouded in mist. In the center is a teleportation circle accessible to upper-division students and esteemed guests, that will take you to the room "above the clouds." Containing a continental atlas, everything general geography contains, but branched out to all neighboring kingdoms, sea exploration, ocean floor exploration, and transcontinental charting and trade routes. Landmarks, ruins, sacred sites by various cultures, every known atlas, map, on a global level. Navigation Tools, Cartography Supplies, Calligrapher's Supplies, Scholar's Packs, and map-making supplies are all provided up here.
  Globe of Passage: This globe is an interactable, levitating globe of Umbria with projections of regional maps, subregional maps, and declassified teleportation circles around the empire of Vyscaria. The globe will also highlight other maps and features on those maps that you search for, or highlight books that would contain such information within the Atlas Cloud.

Library Cafe

This section contains one-way windows that look out over the city, facing the King's Mountains, Septim Delta, and the Ruby Sea. Tables are lined up with study booth walls, and cafe staff brings coffee, tea, pastries, and small entrees with barista craft art and chef's craft art to students who pay to sit there (25 gp). It is etiquette and courtesy to pay 5-10 gp tips to each of the staff members.
 

Judicial Codes & Conduct

This division contains all career information about judges, justicars, magistrates, councilmen, tribunals, and chancellors in the judicial system of Vyscaria. You will find the code legal to every province, city, and kingdom within this division, as well as documents containing the People's Concord and Doctrine of Liberty. There is also in-depth coverage, review, and critical analysis of the Justice System within the empire of Vyscaria.

 

3rd Floor: Restricted Access (Graduates who completed Sagecraft Ethics & Faculty)

Completely blocked off from the balcony and floor level, this entire level is dedicated to the study of restricted materials.
 

Towerhead (Faculty & Staff only)

This floor is reserved as the Headmaster's Study within the librarium.
