Vyshesk

A world shaped in an age past, Vyshesk is now a shadow of a greater world. Great sprawling ruins of the Old Empire now serve as lairs for once banished evils.   People live in fear. What realms of men still exist try as best they can to hold the fragments of what they once where.   The sword is far mightier then the pen. While scholars and academics try to piece together truths and power from the last age, they serve at the whim of those that can gather strength and power.   The gods are distant yet present. The common folk turn to the gods; beings of legend and power who's origins are shrouded in mystery.   The world is sick. The Blight spreads and corrupts all.
