Count Araclay
Ruler of the County of Araclay, Mortimer Araclay has a reputation as a fierce warrior. He carries himself with poise and precision, and is known for his lack of pomp and casual dress; often wearing muddy boots in court after a morning in his gardens. A slow and deliberate speaker, he is man of few words and often chooses not to speak, much to the confusion of his court. He is of a warriors build, and even in his older age still maintains a strong physique.
For a large portion of his life, he has tried to defeat a hated foe Erobis; The ex court wizard of Araclay that poisoned his father and attempted to steal his family throne while he was a young boy. His burning hatred for the evil wizard is well known, and many have tried to help the Count with his goal.
None however have succeeded. Many now believe that the old wizard is dead. A bounty still exists for anyone who can find Erobis.
Mortimer's story of uncovering and driving away Erobis from taking over the realm has blessed his rule with legitimacy, and his stoic character strong paired with a strong sense of justice have created a highly stable reign. This stability and peace has however built up a decadant noble class, that has become disconnected from the common folk.
Despite his public profile, his personal life is incredibly secretive. Outside of his family, he has no allies. Some feel that he becomes more paranoid of betrayal as he grows older.
He is a confidant of the now Prince Lionel Trenowyth - whom spent some years in his childhood fostered by the Count to learn from the mighty warrior. As ruler of Araclay, he serves as one of the Electors upon the death of a reigning Prince.
