The Relic Weapons are among the most powerful artifacts on Waking Materia. They are the weapons wielded by the gods of Materia and the Duskscape. In times of overwhelming importance, these weapons may be granted as boons to great champions. Many of Materia's greatest heroic epics involve the wielding of a Relic Weapon.

A diety's Relic Weapon is always representative of its Favoured Weapon, granting mortal swords increased prowess with other weapons of that type as well.
