Though it is a fairly large city, Durant in known most for agriculture. The lands surrounding Durant are very fertile and great farms, mostly owned by the city, produce a vast array of vegetable, fiber, tobacco, and animals. Within the city walls, life seems somewhat bleak. Criminal activity has certainly found a home here and though this criminal behavior is illegal, a blind eye is often turned. This has lead to a common phrase in Wallencia: "The only things in Durant are crops and crime." Still, there is room for normal life to be found in Durant and many of its citizens are simple working folk of all races.
