Entimolgis Hive
The Entimolgis Hive, once a tomb world of the Necron Empire, has been transformed into a grotesque parody of a living organism, a realm where the distinction between machine and insect has all but vanished. Originally a standard Necron tomb world, it was modified beyond recognition by the rogue Cryptek Entimolgis, who, driven by madness and a delusional denial of her own mechanical nature, reshaped her dynasty into something far more sinister.
The Hive, as it is now known, stretches beneath the surface of the planet in vast, interconnected tunnels resembling the burrows of colossal insects. What were once grand, sterile halls of Necron design have been converted into a labyrinth of chitinous walls and mechanical sinew, pulsating with an eerie bioluminescence. Canoptek constructs, now modified to resemble insects more closely, scuttle through these tunnels, their bodies reinforced with materials that mimic organic carapace and segmented limbs. Scarabs, wraiths, and Spyders move with a collective intelligence, acting as a unified swarm rather than individual units. They work tirelessly to maintain and expand the Hive, consuming all available resources to propagate their new form.
Entimolgis' obsession with insects led her to establish new protocols that govern the Hive's behavior. Upon awakening, the Hive does not simply resume the ancient Necron protocols of defense and restoration. Instead, it operates like a colony of insects: it swarms, consumes, and propagates. The Hive now behaves like a predatory superorganism, sending out waves of Canoptek constructs to devour anything in their path. These constructs break down all matter, organic or inorganic, into base materials that are then used to create more of their kind, ensuring the relentless expansion of the Hive.
The central chamber of the Hive, where the tomb of the dynasty's lord once lay, is now the nerve center of this insectoid monstrosity. Here, Entimolgis' remains are entombed within a vast network of nerve-like cables and control nodes, still functioning as the Hive's primary command unit even after her death. The once-noble tomb has become a grotesque cocoon from which the Hive's will emanates, directing its endless cycle of consumption and reproduction.
The Hive is a place of horrors, where the remnants of the Necron dynasty have been stripped of their individuality and purpose, reduced to mere drones in service of a mad vision. No longer do they serve the ancient gods or their dynastic lords; instead, they are enslaved to a perverse mimicry of the insect kingdoms that once fascinated their creator. The Entimolgis Hive is not just a physical place but a manifestation of the twisted psyche of its architect, a terrifying blend of mechanical precision and insectoid brutality.
