Session XXX: Love's Labour Raises the Dead Report

General Summary

After Evard's taunts, the party hears the door behind them open and Father Gavrila explain that he had asked for assistance while the party was away and that they just arrived. The newcomers, a plasmoid named Eloise and a warforged named Krato, quickly integrated themselves into the party's battleline to fight the undead hosts. The warforged Krato sprung into action, summoning exploding knives of ice to down three skeletons in one blow. Dalvanak then damaged another with his psychic blades with Eloise pummeling another with a cold hand of death, which caused her plasma to change from pink to a vibrant blue.
As two ghosts made their eerie advance, Faddius let loose with a massive fireball, taking out three skeleton and injuring Evard, while Grewarum annihilated another skeleton with a spectral hand of necrotic energy. Then, the skeletons attacked. After several attacks against Krato finding no purchase, the skeletons shifted their attacks to Darius and Garlith. Darius was able to dodge, but the plasmoid rogue was not so lucky. Darius struck back, using his blood magic to empower his rapier's attacks with flames, downing another two skeletons.
Krato conjured a thunderous sound, shattering a skeleton and injuring Evard while Dalvanak took down another skeleton with his sword. Eloise sent a firebolt to immolate another skeleton and resisted the wild tides of magic from turning her into a sheep. The ghost floated through the walls to come and possess Krato and Darius, but failed. Their horrifying visages caused Eloise, Krato, and Faddius to age several years and send them into a panic.
Faddius resists his fear after sending phastasmal visions to fill Evard's mind and sending him into painful agony as he screams about Marya Myshkin, his lost love. Not allowing the necromancer a bit of rest, Grewarum lashed Evard's mind with magic. The skeletons then attempted to take down the party, but did little damage to the stalwart heroes. Darius opened a portal in reality to teleport next to a skeleton and get him closer to Evard, downing the skeleton and preparing to take down the necromancer. Evard, for his part, attempted a desperate gamble, sending a dark orb of necrotic energy to explode on the party, severely damaging most of the party, but they held on. As a result, only the ghosts remained of Evard's minions and now the party had nothing to target but Evard and the ghosts. Garlith fired his crossbows at the ghosts while Krato hurled magic poison on the remaining ghosts. 
Dalvanak turned his psychic blades toward Evard, seriously damaging the bloodied mage. Eloise sent magic missiles into a remaining skeleton, killing it, and one of the ghosts. The ghosts then succeeded in scraping the acid Krato hurled on them but seemed diminished in the power, unable to attempt possessions again. Faddius fired a firebolt at a ghost while Grewarum lashed it with a thorn whip.
Darius downed one of the remaining skeletons after it failed to harm him. Evard, however, succumbed to the phantasmal visions Faddius inflicted on him. Crying out to his lost love, he died, screaming and crying. His body, however, was consumed by the receeding shadows. As light filtered back into the temple, the light from the windows shone down on a pile of tattered clothes, scattered papers, and a gleaming silver gauntlet of Torm.
