The Underdark

The Underdark is a layer of the world, located below the Upperdark and above the Underworld.

Since the Upperdark is the water filter of the Underdark due to it's large quantities of Magicomenti, a substance infamous for dissolving water, the pooling of water in the Underdark is exceedingly rare. The place is characterised by weird forms of on magicomenti living plants, sometimes as big as mountains. The place is not that inhabited, exept by Illithid's and their makings.
