The Underlight

The Underlight is the name for the subterranean layer below the Underworld. It is a place of immense heat. A gaseous sea of evaporated metal and elemental fury.

At a certain point in the Underworld, there will be more molten then solid rock. There is one final layer, a large, gap filled floor of obsidian glass with below a sea of fire. Here ash is filling the sky. It must be noted that gravity seems to lessen here, to about half the amount one is used to. The exact reason why is not known, the two most popular idea's are that;

• The fire is so hot that it disrupt the normal magical fields here, like gravity is.
• The influence of the Void below the fire is already having some influence here.

The average temperature of the fireclouds here reach up to 2500°C, with the inferno itself reaching searing hot temperatures of up to 4000°C at the higher layers, but all the way up to 10.000°C in the deeper parts.

Fire Elementals from here have been attempting to travel upwards to other layers ever since the dawn of history, yet most of them are stopped by Toroc and his armies of the infernal before they leave the Underworld.
