Ancient Elves
Fairly little is known about them, but the first elves known of on Eberron were enslaved by the ancient Giant empire. Treated under terrible conditions for generations, they rebelled and fought back viciously, driving back the giants who were already occupied with their own war. Once the Giant empire collapsed, it's known that the elves fled the southern continent, moving to their current home of Aerenal, and leaving the ancestors of the modern drow behind.
