This embroidered black cloak looks plain at first, but when a spellcaster teaches the pattern of a spell to the fabric, the embroidery comes to life with colour, shimmering and rearranging to match the weave of the magic.
Any creature touching the cloak may cast a spell into the cloak, instead of its normal range and targets. The spell does not take effect, but the cloak absorbs and remembers the spell until another spell is cast, replacing the first.
Any creature who wears the cloak once it has absorbed a spell is immune to the effects of that particular spell, and only that spell. For example, if fireball is cast into the cloak, any creature wearing it takes no damage from fireballs cast at them, but is still affected normally by firebolt and other flames.
