The Path of Inspiration
Very little is known of this faith to the people of Khorvaire and Xen'drik, but from what they see it is a structured but somewhat xenophobic religion. Followed mostly by the people of Sarlona, the distant eastern continent, it teaches that there are great spirits beyond the world, devotion to them reveals the correct way to live, and a life well lived will be rewarded by reincarnation into a more perfect form.
It imposes a hierarchy on the world, moderately human-supremacist but with hope of reincarnation, and led by "The Inspired", the leaders of the religion and the distant nation of Reidra, and those who speak for the great spirits, the il-atlas.
From lowest to highest, one may hope for reincarnation to a higher form;
- Unintelligent beasts
- Nonhumans (dwarves, elves, ogres, shifters etc)
- Humans
- Changelings
- The Inspired, who are guided by the il-atlas
- The il-atlas, the great spirits who cannot manifest and act through The Inspired
