An-Stellari

An-Stellari (literally "of Stellari") is a holy city located to the northwest of the Old Continent. It is the ancestral home of the fairies and the birthplace of the Great Fairy Stellari, for whom the city is named. It was first established around one hundred thousand years ago, when the first generation of fairies was spawned from Stellari. Since then, it has become the holy city of the Stellist faith, and sees frequent pilgrimages from humans, mermaids, nymphs, and avians.

Demographics

The overwhelming population of An-Stellari is fairies, according to the latest census taken before the Great Migration. 89% of Stellarians are fairies. Humans make up the largest non-fairy population, at 5.3% of the total population. Avians make up 3.4%, nymphs 1.9%, and mermaids take up the remaining 0.4%.

Government

The head of government for 100,000 years was the Great Fairy herself, leading in an absolute monarchy. In her absence during the Great Migration, she gave emergency powers to the First Generation Fairies, her highest council, to operate in her stead as a gerontocracy.
