Her body is muscular, though this may not be too apparent at a distant glance depending on clothing.
Her chin has three thick black stripes that go down to her neck and merges into a more complicated neck/shoulder tattoo.
The neck shoulder tattoo uses drawn lines and knotts and written script to tell the history of her. It encompasses her neck, and spreads from her shoulder to the nape. It is clearly incomplete.
Her palm has a depiction of Ioun, a stone faced woman with three eyes.
The shaven side of her head has the written saga of Ioun's fight against the Chained Oblivion.
She most often wears black war paint that covers her forehead and over her eyes, bleeding down to her cheeks.
CHILDHOOD:
Iss was born under the cover of a raging storm and thus was named Iss (Ice). Her mimi (mother) Tonna Ravensborne almost lost her life at birth. Upon taking a hold of the child The Seer foretold her fate. She was a child of blood and stone, there would be dirt and gold in her glory. Ice would be her eyes, and heart fearless. She would fight in the name of the Knowing Mistress, be her shield when called upon and her justice when needed.
For the first ten years of her life Iss lived a relatively normal childhood within the tribe, she was especially close to her father Orrin The Silenthand, a hunter of renown. It was he who taught her to love nature, how to survive, how to cherish. Tonna herself was a scholar, and she travelled most of her life until one year she did not return, upon her 7th year of birth she knew her mother would never be back.
In school she was taught arts, literature, poetry, and languages. She loved learning but knew that would come to end soon, upon her 10th birthday she left home and moved into the barracks with the other children of age to train and learn how to be a warrior in the name of Ioun. She showed great aptitude in fighting, relying on her rage and her reckless behaviour. Her tutors told her to hold back, to be patient, to wait but she always threw herself without a care for her life.
Her life belonged to her goddess to do as she pleased.
Upon her 15th and 20th year of birth she has passed all her tests and proved herself to be a warrior of might. She earned herself the name The Stormshield and she wears it in pride. Upon reaching her 22nd year she was called by the Three and given a mission to leave the folds of the Unchained to travel Westfal in the name of Ioun. The Seer disclosed to her of a vision, a dream in which the name of Ioun would be forgotten, her followers would fall one by one, and even their settlement would be burned to cinders. She was told to travel, to learn, and to protect Ioun in any manner the goddess saw fit.
Thus she ventured upon Westfal with a clear mission in mind...
