Many businesses that rely upon animal products for their trade tend to cluster around the slaughter houses of the Flieshmark. Prepared to tolerate the stench in order to be close to the source of their raw matewrials.
Paeter Kohl is one such individual who has established his workshop as close to the stench of the tanneries as his nose can stand. As a result he has gained the advantage of being able to quickly source the best hides available for his own produces..
There are many leatherworkers in area, and most of them are specialists. Frau Kenner produces nothing other than the covers of books, Johan Gotter makes pouches and purses, and Paeter Kohl makes saddles and leather armour.
His workshop has no windows, though the dinginess is a small price to pay for gaIning some relief from the stench of the tanneries. A sign denotes the goods he produces. The inside is dark and cramped, filled with unfinished pieces.
But one of the additional things he has earned a reputation for is the creations of ritual masks for carnivals, parties and riutals.

Two gangs of thugs from 'The Fish' led by Breem set fire to Paeter Kohls workshop on behalf of some unknown sponsor.
The worksop is now just a charred ruin and Paeter Kohl has dissappeared but is wanted for questioning by Lord Protector Gammow..
