Culture

Generally the Brotherhood is a quite diverse group of individuals. Rather than being united under a racial banner or even faction banner, what brings the Brotherhood together is a rejection of the world. Either by their own doing, or because the world itself rejects its members.   As such, people

Public Agenda

The Brotherhood of the Wheel's public agenda is to provide a place of opportunity and growth to those who would otherwise be shunned for their beliefs, ambitions and practices. Outwardly, they come across as benevolent as an entity albeit a little odd or unhinged. Some of its members may even appear kind as the group often provides para-military assistance under the guise of a "second chance" to those who have seen its growth in power. To these, the Brotherhood portrays itself not unlike a penal legion.

Assets

The Brotherhood of the Wheel's assets are plenty and varied. From different artifacts to wealth coming from patrons and organizations

History

As far as the Brotherhood is concerned, they have always existed. Since time immemorial in different incarnations. They, much like the Wheel itself are a force of opposition which comes and goes in accordance to the prevalence of order and tyranny in the world. A natural response from a world crying out for freedom and fulfillment, after reaching a critical mass of dissatisfaction in a crisis of purpose.

Mythology & Lore

Time.   Time is fluid.   Time did however have a beginning, and one day it will come to an end. It is observable in all things. Everything falls apart. Life dies and what remains withers. Rocks crumble. Steel rusts. Even magic grows unstable and raw given enough time. All which is will one day cease to be. And even those which we call Gods are bound by this cycle of continuous decay. Some call it the apex predator of reality. Some say it is the Great Devourer, an ever consuming maw ravenous and demanding for the end.   We know better.   Truly there is something out there. An all encompassing force which touches all things and breaks them down. But we have seen it for what it is. It is not a God, moved by the need to be worshipped or validated. It is not an Demon either, for it cares not for destruction and tyranny. It does not even hunger for the destruction of all which is. It simply is.   At the end of time, in the darkness which lies just at the edge of creation lies a colossal Wheel which turns ever so slowly. And with each motion of its surface, something breaks. With each turn, dust is blown away into oblivion never to be again. Some say this is the cycle of creation and that at the end of each cycle there is rebirth. Such people are wrong.   For while there is a cycle of rebirth, each and every time there is such, something infinitesimally small is lost... and over eons of losses, there will be nothing left to be reborn. And in due time, it will all be as if it never was in the first place.   But do not be mistaken. We do not desire the end of all things, even less so do we strive for it. Rather, we simply acknowledge that it is so, without hunger, without malice, without worship. It simply is. And so are we.   All which remains is to be as free as we can be, striving for our ultimate accomplishment, whichever this may be and whatever it might drive us to do.

Do as you will, justified in your strength.
