One of the last great wonders of the world, the Veiled Pass has earned its name both literally and figuratively. I imagine this place would hold the record for the most stubbed toes in a single day.

It has gone by many names over the years, but the area remains the same. Situated at the base of the mountains, this mysterious area is constantly veiled in mist and difficult to navigate. It is said only those who have earned the All-Mother's favor know how to navigate it. Many expedition teams have gone missing trying to navigate it and reveal its secrets.
The pass sits on the border between the Human Territories and The Dragonlands, at the foot of the Ardelle Mountains. The rough terrain in the area means this pass is the best option for crossing over on foot. Unfortunately, due to the sinister reputation, its difficulty to navigate, and the lack of settlements, travelers would rather take their chances going south and traversing safer roads.
According to legend, the city of Opalana sits somewhere within. And during Ouroboros, the veil thins but also becomes overrun with wandering spirits. I'm not the superstitious sort but given that even the dragons refuse to linger here, I can only suspect that something far more sinister haunts it.
Pretty damn creepy when you got the mothman or something watching you through the mist. The fog does have a little bit of the gradual opacity you would expect to find and makes it look more like the nebulous cloud it is instead of a wall.
Perfect for a place where many enter but few return...
