Arkenes Moonfog

Ah, the Kingdom of Amidonia, what place could be better to hail from. Everyone knows the kind and benevolent King Ruijerd Greyfox, his beautiful Eladrin wife Queen Lilia Greyfox, and their favorite first son, champion of the tournaments, and heir to the kingdom…Prince Wein Greyfox. What a life it is being the Prince of Amidonia! Everything is taken care of for you, everyone is vying for your attention, and you want for nothing. Well, that is if you are Wein. However, I am Rudeus Greyfox, the SECOND Prince of Amidonia. While all the attention is on my brother, I have become a second thought. Afterall, what use is the second Prince when you have the first?   Sure, being first is great but being second has its advantages too. While Wein was forced to study and train, I was left with my governess to adventure in our woods, learn games of chance with the stableboys, and learn the fine art of carousing by watching the staff. By the time I reached my seventh year, my parents took notice of my activities and decided something needed to be done. Luckily, my mother had her way and I was sent to live with her relatives in the Feywild.   For the next thirteen years, I lived in the Feywild learning from the elves and playing in the woods amongst the dryad. I was taught music by the satyr and magic from the pixies. I experienced fighting and the art of negotiations in a battle against a giant tribe. I sailed with pirates, swam with mermaids, and had a few flings along the way. Who knew there was so much to experience outside the castle walls…I wished this life would never end. Unfortunately, as my twenty-first nameday loomed ahead of me, I was summoned home.   I returned home a changed man full of experiences and a zest for life; this is not what my parents had hoped for. Instead of being ready to take my place in court, I needed to see what was out there. My mother knew that life was to be lived and encouraged me to explore; my father was a different story. We never saw eye-to-eye and, on several occasions, had very explosive arguments on how I lived my life. That was the last straw. I went back to my room, packed my belongings, kissed the milkmaid “goodbye”, and set out under the cover of night for the port. I knew there would be a ship there that would take me somewhere other than here.   First rule of the port, if you want an interesting adventure…find the most interesting ship. I wandered the dock for a while looking for ships that were accepting passengers or new crew. That's when I came upon the Wandering Star. She was as large as a galleon but had no masts or rigging. Instead, she had, what appeared to be, the most delicate fish fins. This was very interesting indeed. I joined her crew as Arkenes Moonfog and we set sail. To my amazement, I found out that the Wandering Star was a Spelljammer. We sailed the sea and then set out for the stars. I was like being back in the Feywild again and I never wanted to go back home.   It’s been two years since that day. Although the Wandering Star has taken port in Amidonia since then, I have not gone home for fear of repercussions. Instead, I voyage among the stars, visiting other realms, and adventuring. I’ve even rented a room at the Happy Beholder in Bral; which is an adventure in itself.
