Manaweaver Sports Festival

The Manaweaver Sports Festival takes place in the Summer and is an interschool's sports competition where students on Abjuration, Conjuration, Enchantment, and Transmutation courses, who are in their 2nd or 3rd year at the school, compete against each other to find out which school of magic is the champion. Students must only use spells from these 4 courses when taking part in the games. The festival is a very popular event and people from all over Whitehearth come to see the games.

Execution

2 students from each school are chosen to represent their school in a battle for the Sports Festival Champion. These students are nominated by the heads of subject and based off a mix of grades, potential, and courage. Students have 1v1 battles where they cast spells against each other until a student is knocked out of a bounds but a win is also justified if a student is prone, unconscious, or poisoned. These are heavily moderated to avoid serious injury and medical treatments are on hand. There are 6 rounds consisting of 4 matches where each player duels with everyone else except the person from their school. The school with the most wins becomes the Sports Festival Champion. In the case of a tie, there is one final to see who wins.
