Chromatite

Chromatite is a material that occurs naturally deep beneath the surface of the world, though the techniques of harvesting it are still a work in progress. At present, the most reliable means of getting access to Chromatite is through the Hero’s Guild. No one can yet explain how or why, but it would seem the same magic within the badge that produces ruby tears produces samples of Chromatite and, perhaps more curiously, can remain stored within the badge until needed with minimal effort on the bearer’s part.
As an action on your turn, you can draw on the essence of a Chromatite piece in your possession. The Chromatite replicates the effects of a consumable magic item of equal or lesser rarity, such as a potion or a scroll. If the item normally has restrictions on its use (like a scroll being limited to those who have the spell on their spell lists), those restrictions still apply. Once this property has been used, the Chromatite disintegrates and is destroyed.

Used in Resonance and creating Echoes.
10 Chromatite of one rarity can be freely exchanged for 1 Chromatite of the next rarity up, and vice versa - 1 Chromatite of a certain rarity may be exchanged for 10 of the next rarity down.
