Proficiency Training

I will proceed to … “open your mind”, so to speak, to the echoes of your life in other worlds and other times. As these echoes collide with your own, knowledge and skill unite across the void and become shared. Given a few days, you’ll find what you seek as if it has always been a part of you.   -Rhystel, Seer and Scrollbinder of the Scrollbinders’ College.
In Chromatia, we permit players to “purchase” skill and proficiency training beyond what’s been offered you by your race, class, or background choices, granting you proficiency in new skills, weapons, tools, or languages you may not otherwise have had access to. No, you cannot use this perk we have oh-so-generously provided to gain proficiency in additional armor sets. You’ll need the applicable Feats for those.   Normally, such training takes weeks, if not months before you see any meaningful improvement. However, the wizard Rhystel offers her ability to peer into the echoes of the multiverse and bridge the gap between the experiences of other lives you have lived, permitting you to gain proficiency and understanding in a fraction of the time. The knowledge gained is not immediate – you often have to wait before the proficiency is officially yours, with the wait increasing the more you’ve had Rhystel help you in the past.   What exactly happens between connecting the echo and obtaining the knowledge is up to you. Perhaps you meditate on the obtained thoughts and experiences until you achieve an epiphany. Perhaps you go out and perform the task ad nauseum, with the guidance of the echo accelerating your development of the skill. Perhaps it awakens like a memory, bringing with it a lifetime of memories familiar, but not quite your own as a result. Whatever the case, it’s up to you how the skill connects after Rhystel has begun the process for you.   Don’t think too hard about it.   When you wish to train an applicable proficiency, note which character is training what in the #market channel like any other market purchase, then head over to your character's thread in #character-sheets (you may have to unarchive your character) to note your training along with the proficiency's expected completion date. Keep in mind that if you chose a bonus proficiency during character creation, it counts towards these options. Pricing is as follows:
