Rainbow Roulette

Hurry, hurry, hurry! Come one, come all, the Rainbow Roulette is now open!   -A suave Mammonite, shilling away to whomever will listen
It wasn't long after a recent foray to Minauros that a representative of Mammon was introduced to and made contact with the members of the Hero's Guild. The context isn't terribly important, but it seemed some members made a deal brokering the chance exchange in trade for their lives and their mortal souls.    It's unclear what exactly came up during that conversation as it moved into private rooms with the guild's administration, but it would seem some sort of agreement was laid out between the guild and Mammon. Those with close ties to hell observed that in the time after, Mammon's forces had received new orders and withdrawn their support from Zariel's rebellion. We can only assume losing access to Mammon's coffers will be a steep and heavy blow to Zariel's war efforts.    In any case, whatever Mammon's allegiance and motivations may actually be, since the exchange curious creatures and individuals have been popping up in the guild's market and commerce areas - none so extravagent, however, as the Rainbow Roulette. This monument of decadence is a noble's dream - a work of art wrought made of various jewels carved and cut to bring to mind the bounteous depths of the oceans erupting about a whale breaching from the deep. The construction shimmers with all the colors of the rainbow at all times of the day, a beacon to all who can see it to come and throw their lot to whimsy and fortune.    Some suggest the statue itself is structured off the designs of a mad marid's potential to grant wishes, in some capacity. The structure is solid through-and-through, and shows no means of reloading its contents, but those who approach and offer it wealth are granted a chance to earn a share of splendor in the form of Chromatite. It is heard on exceptionally rare occasions, a lucky few have even managed to pluck a curious Ruby Tear from the fortunes bestowed upon them by the statue, though its properties are largely unknown save to those who have managed to get their hands on one, with rumors about some kind of special "VIP Lounge" ...

Using the Roulette

Using the Rainbow Roulette is easy! Much like any item purchase, log an expense in your personal book keeping thread for market expenses for 50,000 GP on Rainbow Roulette, noting which character is making the expense. Then, in the #rainbow-road thread under market, run the !rainbow command and the roulette will determine 10 random pieces of Chromatite you may freely add to your inventory.   If you're especially lucky, you might even get a ruby tear out of it (though be aware, this reward may only be obtained once in your character's lifetime)! If you pull a ruby tear from the roulette, let staff know so we can send you the Tear's properties. Once you've obtained a tear from the roulette, if you end up rolling it a second time it is instead replaced with a Pure Chromatite.
