King Despar Chein
King Despar is the king of the Kingdom Tragnment. He is the bilgram of the city of Govkert. It would turn out that he was lied to, and The Cyces, his ancestors, had stolen the claim of being blood-relatives to the Cheins, and he was in fact, not a Chein by blood, thus not given blessings by Helifex. Not knowing this, Despar would be driven to madness over him not living up to his fake lineage's name.
In 7969 3E, during a great feast, a mysterious bard would come and tell Chein that he must resign his kingdomship and give this throne to the child that will be laid with thorns in order for all of Wold to be saved from destruction. Chein, being outraged, ordered the bard to be executed, but the bard mysteriously vanished into the wind. He also ordered any man or child with a birthmark upon their heads to be executed and for all thorn bushes in the kingdom to be burned.

Coming from a long chain of important figures that have helped shape the entire Empire of Roscrea, Despar feels an incredible amount of pressure to perform to excellent standards to see his kingdom flourish above all the other kingdoms within the empire.
