Sar'la Marshes

The Sar'la Marshes is a marshy and swamp-like region found east of Mezzadun, and its borders are defined by the Ruddy Mountains to the north. The Orks believe it to be a cursed land, with myths and stories of the blood in the Ruddy Mountains soaking downwards into the streams and settling in the land, giving rise to creatures born out of spilt blood and an angry vengence of the presences of those killed in battle. The Orks that call the Sar'la Marshes home are known as "Marsh Orks", and viewed as insane from the other Orks for calling the place home, but in actuality, the Marsh Orks believe it to be their duty to rid the region of the ever-rising creatures born from the bloodshed of the Ruddy Mountains. 

Geography and Environment

The Sar'la Marshes are wet and swamp-like, with low elevation and a humid environment. Vines and thornes are common among the trees and deep sinkholes are everywhere and can swallow adventurerers whole.
