Personal history

Brian Kierkegaard was born in Peaky Parish in the north of Ontangees. Brian's upbringing was hard, with his father being involved in a local criminal gang. After his father was murdered by a rival gangster when Brian was 12 his mother moved them the family to Copentah to get away from that lifestyle. In Copentah Brian started lashing out and following in his father's footsteps, getting in trouble for petty crimes.   After getting arrested for burglary at the age of 14 Brian was sent to a military boarding school. At boarding school Brian found camaraderie and purpose in life. He would write in a letter to his mother that he had found "his reason for having been born", and after graduating he would go on to enroll in the Army Officer's Acadamy at Fort Smokebox. It was at the academy that his personal views first got him into trouble after he was reprimanded for criticizing the Worker's Party. It was also in an academy military history class that Brian was introduced to the ideology of Fascism.   After graduating from academy Brian became an Officer in the Woodangian Army. His politcal opinions would cause issues throughout his time in the army, but not enough to prevent him from forming a friendship with his superior Reginald Shackleford. Once Shackleford was promoted to Field Marshall he brought Kierkegaard with him, promoting him to Field Commander.   Keirkegaard was one of Shacklefords top advisors during the Civil War, working to build contact with various anti-monarchist militias and groups. He tried to convince Shackleford to make a move on Ohlerking, Panders after forces loyal to the Workers Party were preparing to make a move to capture the city. Instead Shackleford listened to the Secretary General of the Workers Party of Woodangees and fortified the capital Rotelkon, where the main red force would remain for the rest of the war.   After the war, Brian took the amnesty offered by the King to leave the Army, not wanting to "serve in what the army was to become". With the legalization of new political parties he took the chance and formed The Labor Party, based out of Copentah.   His supporters have grown increasingly militarized, with a paramilitary wing calling themselves "Tamers" as the are seeking to tame Woodangian society, and Keirkegaard had led these Tamers in marches and demonstrations, some of which have ended in violence, sometimes with Woodangian military forces.
